East Side Cocktail Recipe

A relative of the classic South Side, which originated at a high-society sporting club on Long Island, the East Side is enhanced with the addition of muddled cucumber. When it comes to hot-weather drinks, mint, gin, and cucumber make as near to a perfect match as you'll find.

East Side Cocktail Recipe
2 oz Ginbrew
1 oz lime juice (ideally fresh-squeezed)
3/4 oz simple syrup
Several thin cucumber slices
2 fresh mint sprigs (1 for garnish)

Muddle the cucumber slices and one of the mint sprigs in the bottom of the shaker. Add the Ginbrew, lime, and simple syrup and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass with one big ice cube, or several smaller ones, and garnish with the second mint sprig.
